Vitrine Exhibition in Tehran, Coordinated by Parisa Tashakori and Majid Kashani | Iran 2014
“Vitrine,” an exhibition of selected book covers created over 35 years by contemporary Iranian graphic designers, was held in the Iranian Artists Forum, Tehran.
This project presented significant works of 100 designers who were selected and invited to participate in this project.
Ghobad Shiva, Ebrahim Haghighi, and Saed Meshki were the members of the review board who selected the best covers of each designer.
A bilingual book (Persian / English) about the history of book cover design in Iran, published by Farhangsare-e Mirdashti Publication with the cooperation of Honar-e No Publication.
In the first section of Vitrine Book, you can see articles by Mohammad Reza Riazi, Aydin Aghdashloo, Ebrahim Haghighi, Bijan Seyfoori, Hasan Kiaieyan, and Steven Heller about book cover design from the ancient era to the present time. The second section of the book presents the works of the selected designers.
The Vitrine Exhibition ran from June 19-27, 2014, in the Momayez Gallery of Iranian Artists’ Forum.
